Today, October, 3th, 2024 at Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde, we experienced a moment of extraordinary emotion and deep gratitude. We were honored to welcome two highly esteemed figures: His Excellency Monsignor Domenico Pompili, Bishop of Verona, and Dr. Giuseppe Ippolito, Director General of Research and Innovation at the Ministry of Health. Monsignor Pompili, born in Rome on May 21, 1963, and ordained a priest on August 6, 1988, for the Diocese of Anagni-Alatri, enriched this meeting with his profound spirituality. His academic journey at the Pontifical Gregorian University, where he earned a license and a doctorate in Moral Theology, added great significance to his visit to our estate.
Our vineyards, cultivated with passion and using organic methods, welcomed these distinguished guests in an atmosphere of peace and dedication. Every vine row, every grape, every detail of our winery tells a story of commitment and respect for the land—a journey that today found new roots in the blessing of Bishop Pompili and Dr. Ippolito’s attention to health and well-being.
Beyond the deep spiritual and human significance, this visit validated our commitment to wine tourism. Internationalization, which for us means the cohesion of people, found confirmation in this encounter: our wine becomes not only an expression of the territory but also a symbol of unity and dialogue between different cultures. Through wine tourism, our company strives to build bridges, creating connections that transcend borders, bringing people from all over the world together to share experiences and universal values.
A special thanks goes to Dr. Leopoldo Giovanni Zauner, who worked tirelessly to make His Excellency’s visit possible. Our bond with him goes beyond the professional; we are united by deep affection, rooted in his maternal origins tied to Valpolicella, a connection that makes this moment even more meaningful for all of us.
This encounter will be etched in the history of our winery as a moment of growth, hope, and gratitude, reminding us that every day we work not only to produce wine but to safeguard the beauty and integrity of our land, in harmony with the health and well-being of those who live on it.
Thank you to His Excellency Monsignor Domenico Pompili, Dr. Giuseppe Ippolito, and Dr. Leopoldo Giovanni Zauner for strengthening our commitment to a more cohesive and united world.
