Get involved in an adventure in search of the black truffle of Valpolicella! The truffle dog will guide us throughout the journey. We will have lunch in the shade of the walnut with the precious truffle proposed in a typical dish and we will combine it with the famous Amarone wine.

The Valpolicella park
A dense wood with oak groves, water sources and traces of wild animals: a walk in unspoiled nature.
On the border of the vineyards of Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde is the Parco della Valpolicella, near Verona. Venture into the magical forest with our guide in search of fresh truffles. We will come across ancient natural sources of water, we will wade through wild streams and paths, while the cool breeze of the undergrowth spreads scents of wild moss and aromatic herbs.

Nuvola and Zac are our truffle dogs, expert truffle researchers. Their infallible nose will show us the exact spot where it is: run and pick it up! And don't forget to reward our four-legged friend with a kibble. Nuvola and Zac, two lagotto romagnolo dogs are always ready and happy to wander around in the woods and accompany our guests on the excursion!

This ancient activity was nominated in 2021 for UNESCO recognition as a social and economic heritage that comes from the earth.
The traditional practice of truffle hunting thus enters the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The request received a positive opinion in Paris from the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Cultural and Intangible Heritage.
For the agri-food sector, the accepted applications are the Cerca e Cava del Tartufo and the Ceebu Jen, the national dish of Senegal.
The candidacy does not concern the truffle product itself, but the complexity of the knowledge, techniques, traditions around the search and quarrying of the truffle, transmitted over the centuries in Italy.
