Ilaria’s Diary: Dolomiti Trade Tour 2026

From Valpolicella to the Dolomites: our Dolomiti Trade Tour 2026 took us to Graus in Alta Badia on 19 September and to Moser Bevande in Sedico on 5 October.

These two events brought together professionals from the restaurant and hospitality sectors, as well as mountain hut operators. I had the pleasure of personally sharing the story of our family, the hills of Marano di Valpolicella and the artisanal craftsmanship preserved in every bottle.

The highlights of the tastings were our 2019 Ripasso della Valpolicella Classico Superiore, an authentic bridge between Valpolicella and Amarone, and our 2016 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva, which will soon receive Bibenda’s prestigious 5 Grappoli award.

The Dolomites have always been one of the most important markets for Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde.

Our wines pair naturally with the flavours and traditional recipes of Dolomite, Ladin and Belluno cuisine.

Over the years, this tour has become an invaluable opportunity to strengthen long-standing relationships and build new partnerships ahead of the winter season, when wine lists are prepared for some of Europe’s most exclusive ski destinations.
