The year 2025 marks a historic milestone for the Valpolicella Wine Consortium as it celebrates its 100th anniversary. On February 1 and 2, 2025, the prestigious Centennial Edition of Amarone Opera Prima will take place at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona, an event dedicated to the crown jewel of the appellation: Amarone della Valpolicella.
Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde will proudly present its iconic Amarone vintage 2020 preview, offered as a barrel sample not intended for sale, showcasing the passion and excellence of the Valpolicella region.
The program includes:
• January 31, 2025: An exclusive inaugural dinner for the press, authorities, and participating wineries.
• February 1-2, 2025: Tastings, conferences, and meetings with experts and wine enthusiasts from around the world.
In parallel, the Valpolicella Education Program returns, offering international experts the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the region, its history, and its wines.
This event is a unique occasion to celebrate a century of tradition, innovation, and passion, while discovering the extraordinary enological excellence of the Valpolicella region.
